Limited coverage · unranked research leads
Tennessee statewide starting index
Need a practical route now?
See Loudon County drop-off choices, two household well-testing kits, official concern/records routes and cost-help referrals, or copy an unsent checklist. Local coverage is Loudon County only; statewide referrals are separately labelled, not a complete Tennessee service directory.
Four unranked candidate investigations, none publication-ready. No claim that the surrounding communities are rural or underserved. No urgency score and no county pilot selected. Boundaries, resident priorities, well dependence, travel/cost/hours and local capacity remain unassessed. Missing data is uncertainty, not evidence of safety.
Discovery queue — separate from the publication queue
Resolve community identity, resident priorities, urgent pathways and access barriers first. Defer selection until evidence and feasible capacity can be compared without using publicity or document abundance as proxies.
Evidence-qualified publication queue
No new dossier meets its full claim, identity, current-status, privacy and independent legal/technical review gate. The separate existing Matlock Bend dossier is linked from the homepage and is not replaced.
Unranked investigation starters
- Old Waynesboro City Dump — Wayne County: records-discovery lead. Historical cleanup and current-condition questions require primary and latest agency evidence; current condition/effectiveness unknown.
- Velsicol — Hardeman County: records lead. Obtain any actual completed 2026 review; a past estimated date proves neither delay nor completion. Legacy site, not active municipal landfill.
- Meadow Branch — McMinn County: historical reported inspection/violation and reported corrective step need original records and current status; no current violation alleged.
- Former EWS — Benton County: facility identity and closure/post-closure current condition require verification; a government listing establishes neither current contamination nor misconduct.
These descriptions reflect an unverified initial research brief (October 4, 2026), not independently accepted findings. Source publication/capture dates vary; see claim register and original archived materials: Waynesboro · Velsicol · Meadow Branch · EWS Camden.
Next selection gate
- Document resident priorities and service needs for all candidate areas.
- Verify boundaries, rural/underserved measures, disposal accessibility and well dependence using evidence; unknown fields stay blank.
- Write the need/unresolved-concern/feasibility rationale and deferrals, before selecting one county pilot.
- Publish only after source, privacy, technical, legal and community-service gates pass.
